Seed… Time… Harvest!
Right now, it seems like I’m in the waiting time between having planted the seed and realizing the harvest, a time of transition, a time between seasons.
For me, this is the time for gratitude, for hope, and for personal growth.
Grateful I have a garden place and some seeds to plant. Thankful for the sun and for the rain which will coax my seedlings out of their shells. It’s amazing to me that a seed has all that it needs, contained right inside that little package, to become a mature plant of its kind. All I have to do is provide nurturing conditions (which pretty much happen in nature without my interference).
And, I have hope that a seedling will emerge from the soil. And I further anticipate that the young plant will produce foliage and ultimately yield a flower, or maybe a fruit or vegetable.
So, how do I wait this out? During this in-between season time, I’ll also work on being the best gardener I can be to give my seed the best chance to become a harvest. And I’ll wait with gratitude and hopeful expectation as I grow more fully into the person God made me to be.
